Grants and Scholarly Contributions
Grants
On this page, I share the two grant proposals I have applied for so far as part of my doctoral portfolio requirement to develop and submit a funding proposal. The requirement emphasizes the process of proposal writing rather than the outcome, although I am proud that one of my proposals was approved.
-
CCI 2025 Summer Grant (Individual Award) – Approved and funded. This project explored how Artificial Intelligence can be used to support Mozambican Sign Language translation, accessibility, and inclusive media.
-
Spencer Foundation Vision Grant (Collaborative Proposal, Under Review) – Submitted as a member of my collective and as a consultant and Fulbright Scholar, focusing on Global South perspectives in intersectional disability studies and inclusive education.
These experiences reflect my commitment to combining research, innovation, and advocacy to advance inclusive education both in Mozambique and globally.
