My mission and vision they define the purpose behind my PhD journey and the values guiding my research. They connect my lived experiences with my scholarly goals, providing direction and clarity for the impact I aim to achieve.
🎯 Mission
To advance inclusive education in Mozambique by promoting the full participation of children with disabilities while working toward equity for all students. I aim to empower Mozambican youth, particularly girls, women, and persons with disabilities, through education, accessible media, and leadership development, enabling them to thrive academically, socially, and economically.
While my primary focus is on Mozambique and the broader global South, I am committed to contributing to inclusive education initiatives in the global North as well, recognizing that the pursuit of equity transcends geographic boundaries.

To see a society where every young person has equitable access to education, opportunities, and platforms to raise their voices and lead inclusive change. A society that values open dialogue on issues of inclusion, where decision-makers are willing to listen to what is not working, collaborate with communities, and take action to improve conditions, including educational access, policy implementation, school environments, and community attitudes toward disability and diversity.
This vision is grounded in the belief that sustainable progress comes from shared responsibility, transparency, and a commitment to the well-being and leadership of all learners, particularly those historically marginalized.

My work and research is to create fair opportunities in every space, challenging barriers that limit access to education, leadership, or social participation, especially for youth and persons with disabilities who are often excluded from education and leadership.

I ensure that diverse voices and lived experiences are valued, represented, and centered in decision-making, media, and community life, with particular attention to education beginning in early childhood.

I embrace new tools, such as AI and participatory media, to guarantee accessibility and communication for all, strengthening education and social participation from the earliest years.
