Amplifying Inclusive Voices Through AI: Enhancing Acessibility, Leadership and Opportunity in Youth

🌍 Amplifying Inclusive Voices Through AI is a pioneering project that explores how artificial intelligence can promote accessibility, leadership, and opportunity for young people, girls, and persons with disabilities in Mozambique. Building on my inclusive media work (Conversas no Cantinho da Sissi), the project investigates whether AI tools can support Mozambican Sign Language (LSM) interpretation and captioning, especially in contexts where human interpreters are scarce. By combining youth-led dialogue, content mapping, and partnerships with local associations such as ASUMO, AJOSMO, UEM, and REMOTELINE, the initiative aims to create pathways for more inclusive communication, equitable access to education, and stronger community participation. Ultimately, the project envisions a future where technology with purpose helps amplify marginalized voices and ensures that no one is left behind.
